Yehuda’s thought provoking new book, The Power to Change Everything is inspiring a global movement of change.

Dear Yehuda,

My name is Aaron-Micael Beydoun and I am an American of Lebanese descent. I have been studying Kabbalah for the last 5 years or so and it's impact has been profound. As a practicing Muslim, I find Kabbalah perfectly consistent with my beliefs and in fact, it has given me a more practical interpretation of my faith.

In June 2006 I launched a blog to help a small Jewish community revive itself in Lebanon. Simply for reasons pertinent to promoting pluralism, religious coexistence, and just helping people (which was inspired from your books) I am currently leading a project to renovate the largest Synagogue in the country.

Kabbalah has had a tremendous influence on my personal life, and it has helped me to truly understand my potential as a human being. Renovating the Syanagogue (google my name, there are numerous articles or visit the website www.thejewsoflebanonproject.org) is just one manifestation.

I thank you for bring Kabbalah to your fellow Americans, during these times, the lessons are invaluable.

All the very best,
Aaron-Micael Beydoun

I am a college student, and I had to give a persuasive speech in my public-speaking course.  For weeks I couldn't choose a topic that satisfied me.  Then my mother attended one of Yehuda's book signings for The Power to Change Everything and brought me home a copy.  When I started to read it, something clicked in my head and I knew that I had found my speech topic.  I chose to write my speech on "wardrobing," the selfish act of purchasing a clothing item with the intention of returning it for a refund after wearing it.  I dug deeper and concluded just how easy it is to disassociate stealing and cheating from something as common as “wardrobing” and how socially acceptable this criminal act is.  I also quoted Yehuda in my speech, when he stated how our minute act will set off a chain of events that will harm not only ourselves and the company, but the customers, distributors, and so on.

When I finished presenting my speech, the feedback was great.  One comment in particular was from a person who never realized how harmful his individual actions could be.  But after hearing my speech, he admitted that although he used to think he could get away with things like “wardrobing” because his actions didn't really matter, he now realizes that no action goes unnoticed.  As Yehuda clearly states, "Everything has a hidden price tag."

Because of the research and effort I had to put into pulling this speech together, a new awareness became a part of me.  I cannot go back to my old kinds of actions because, in the process of waking up and sharing the message, I changed into a different person.

I would like to thank Yehuda for inspiring my speech and to express how good I felt to pass along his knowledge.
